Integrative Trauma Therapy: A Comprehensive Healing Approach

After over 20 years of practice and continuous learning, I've developed an integrative approach that weaves together the most effective elements of different therapeutic modalities. This comprehensive model addresses trauma from multiple angles, creating deeper and more lasting healing.

Why Combine EMDR & IFS?

A holistic treatment approach integrating EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and 12-step principles.

This approach is particularly effective for:

  • Complex trauma survivors who need multi-layered healing
  • Adult children of dysfunction seeking to break generational patterns
  • Individuals with multiple symptoms (anxiety, depression, addiction, OCD)
  • People seeking deep transformation rather than symptom management
  • Those drawn to holistic healing that honors mind, body, and spirit

My Four-Pillar Approach

EMDR Trauma Processing

  • Bilateral stimulation to process frozen memories
  • Reduction of emotional and physiological trauma responses
  • Integration of traumatic experiences
  • Decreased trigger reactivity

Internal Family Systems Work

  • Exploration of internal parts and their roles
  • Healing dialogue between different aspects of self
  • Reconnection with authentic Self-leadership
  • Resolution of internal conflicts

Mindfulness & Mind-Body-Spirit Practices

  • Present-moment awareness techniques
  • Body-based healing and nervous system regulation
  • Spiritual resources for strength and connection
  • Practical tools for daily self-care

12-Step Integration (when appropriate)

  • Adult Children of Alcoholics principles
  • Becoming your own loving parent
  • Community support and spiritual growth
  • Tools for ongoing recovery and healing

In-Person & Virtual Virtual IFS & EMDR Sessions

Integrative IFS & EMDR therapy can be effectively administered through secure online therapy sessions. I use specialized technology that allows for visual bilateral stimulation through your computer screen, making this powerful therapy accessible regardless of your distance from my office location, or your busy schedule.

The Healing Journey

Healing complex trauma is not a linear process. It requires patience, self-compassion, and the right therapeutic container. My goal is to provide that safe, supportive environment where you can process emotions at your own pace.

What Makes My Approach Unique

  • Trauma-informed foundation – Every intervention considers trauma’s impact
  • Parts-aware processing – We honor all aspects of your experience
  • Somatic integration – Healing happens in the body as well as the mind
  • Spiritual inclusivity – Your spiritual resources are welcomed and integrated
  • Practical tools – You leave each session with concrete skills to practice

Notes of Kindness from My Clients

Therapy is an investment in your mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life. Many clients find that the tools and insights gained through our work together continue to benefit them long after therapy concludes.

Do you feel stuck and struggle with symptoms that seem related to your past? Do you find yourself caught in patterns of anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties that feel familiar yet overwhelming? You're not alone, and healing is possible.

The Power of Integrative Therapy

When we combine approaches like EMDR and IFS, clients benefit from multiple pathways to healing. This integrative approach recognizes that healing isn't one-size-fits-all—different aspects of your experience may respond better to different therapeutic tools. Together, these modalities offer both targeted trauma processing and comprehensive internal relationship healing, creating more complete and lasting recovery.
